Three short tutorials take you from an empty Polarion server to a working, populated board. Follow them in order the first time: the installation deploys the extension and can create a demo project for you, the second gets a board on screen, and the third has you plan real work on it.

Installation

Deploy the extension on your Polarion server, verify the Setup page, and create the demo project.

Your First Board

Add the Scheduler widget to a Polarion page and learn to read the board it renders.

Schedule Your First Task

Drag a work item out of the Unplanned sidebar, move it, and unplan it again.

What you need

  • A running Polarion server, with administrator access to both the web interface and the server filesystem
  • The Scheduler distribution archive, and optionally a production licence file — without one, Scheduler runs as a 30-day evaluation
  • A project with work items that carry dates and effort, or the demo project that the Setup page can create for you
If you are evaluating Scheduler, install the demo project template during Installation and create a project from it. It ships with sample work items and a page that already hosts a configured board, so you can go straight to Schedule Your First Task without configuring anything.
