Switch Between Views
The gallery toolbar carries two view buttons, and you can switch at any time.
Grid is the better choice for finding an image; list is the better choice when you need the details, because it shows the file size, who added the file and when.
Long file names are shortened in grid view.Grid tiles abbreviate a long name in the middle —
gallery-sample.png appears as galler...ple.png. The file itself is untouched; switch to list view to read the whole name.Open an Image Full Size
Select an image’s thumbnail. The image opens in a full-window overlay above the page, so it is not confined to the gallery’s own area. Close it with the × in the corner, or by pressing Esc. This applies to images. Files of other types show a type icon rather than a thumbnail — download them to open them in their own application.Download a File
Each tile carries a download control. Use it to save the file locally, whatever its type.Related
