The Mediakit Upload widget puts the same gallery on a rich page instead of a work item form. Use it when a dashboard or overview page should surface one work item’s media directly, without the reader navigating to the item.

Prerequisites

  • Mediakit installed on your Polarion server — see Installation
  • A rich page you can edit
  • The ID of the work item whose files the widget should show

Add the Widget

Edit the rich page

Open the rich page and put it into edit mode.

Insert the widget

Add the Mediakit Upload widget from the widget picker. It is published under the Nextedy tag, alongside the other Nextedy widgets.

Point it at a work item

Set the Work Item ID parameter to the work item whose attachments the gallery should show.

Adjust the presentation

Optionally set Height and Mode to control how tall the gallery is and which view it opens in — grid for tiles, table for the list view. See Widget Parameters for accepted values and defaults.

Save the page

Save the rich page. The gallery renders in place, showing that work item’s files.
The widget is the same gallery, so uploading, viewing, downloading and deleting all behave as they do on a work item form, and act on the same attachments. The guides for those tasks apply unchanged.

Limitations

The widget cannot be exported to PDF.Exporting a rich page that contains the Mediakit Upload widget to PDF does not render the gallery — the export shows a message in its place instead. If a page needs to be exported to PDF, keep the widget off it, or accept that the gallery will be absent from the exported file.
