Almost always this means the extension went into a form layout the work item does not use.Polarion keeps a separate form layout for each work item type, and adding the gallery to the wrong one produces no error and no warning — the form simply renders without it. The — Unspecific — layout applies only to types that have no layout of their own, so it does not cover a type that has one.Check the type of the work item you are looking at, then confirm the extension is in that type’s layout. It was replaced, deliberately and without a prompt. Uploading a file whose name matches an existing attachment replaces that attachment’s content rather than adding a second file.The earlier content is not lost. Polarion keeps it as a previous revision of the attachment, reachable through Show revisions in the work item’s Attachments section.This is the intended way to update a file in place. The upload worked. Polarion renders its Attachments section when the form loads and does not refresh it when you use the gallery, so immediately after an upload the two disagree.Reload the work item and both show the same files. See Gallery and Attachments.

Not with the gallery included. A PDF export of a page containing the Mediakit Upload widget renders a message where the gallery would be, rather than the gallery itself.If the page must be exported to PDF, keep the widget off it, or accept that the gallery will be absent from the exported file.

Only image formats render thumbnails. Recognised non-image formats — PDFs, video, text — are given an icon for their type, and a file whose extension is in neither map gets a generic tile.If a format you expect to be treated as an image is showing a generic tile, its extension may not be in the image map. Both maps are configurable: see Supported File Types for the defaults and Configuring File Types for how to change them.

The same people who can modify the work item’s attachments in Polarion. Mediakit applies no permission model of its own — it acts on ordinary attachments, so your existing project permissions decide who may change what.

No. Every file shown in the gallery is an ordinary Polarion work item attachment. Removing the plugin removes the gallery view; the attachments remain on their work items exactly as before, reachable through Polarion’s own Attachments section.
