Workflow State Transitions

The document lifecycle progresses through defined states, each with specific permissions and validation requirements: diagram

Key Workflow Concepts

All work items classified as Safety-Critical (SC) or Cybersecurity-Critical (CC) must pass approval workflow before publication. This ensures compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO 14971 traceability requirements.
Multiple reviewers can evaluate a document simultaneously. Each reviewer completes their assessment independently; all must approve before the document advances to publication.
Once a document reaches PUBLISHED state, it becomes read-only. To modify published content, create a new version by returning to DRAFT state and repeating the workflow.
